Maria Lena Koen is a Swiss/Dutch artist and filmmaker currently based in Paris and Lucerne. In 2021 she graduated at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts with a Bachelor of Arts in Film.

 

Growing up, she split her time between the valleys of Centovalli and sailing the Dutch seas where she became acquainted with a different way of living. This connection to the natural world has helped nurture a sensitivity that she uses to connect with people and better understand their relationship to society.

 

Maria Lena works on different personal and commissioned projects in photography and film. She is currently developing her new short documentary.
